20 continued issues of the famous „L`Assiette au Beurre“, the French magazine directed by Samuel Schwartz, which was publishing anarchistic artists. Bound in as well the supplements to nos. 10, 12, 13 and the supplements „A“, „B“, and „C“. The magazine distinguishes from other humoristic magazines of the time in not setting a certain layout in advance. Thus every issue became an album of full-page illustrations by 16 artists, only according to a common theme. Artists such as Steinlen, Benjamin Rabier, Grandjouan, Jossot have participated to the magazine. – Two folding plates (titles of nos. 11 and 16) with overlapping and thus defective fold. Somewhat narrowly cut when bound, thus few marginally printed text lines partly cut. – Best.-Nr. 17001
