First edition printed in Italy of Spielmann’s (1722–1783) pharmacopoeia, first publised in Strasbourg in 1783 and one of the most accurate work of its kind in that time. The Strasbourg chemist J. R. Spielmann was owner of the „Pharmacie du Cerf“ and professor at the Strasbourg University. During 1770/71, the young Johann Wolfgang Goethe attended Spielmann’s lectures in Strasbourg. – Some traces of use and age throughout.
