Venice edition (fifth edition) of the same year as the Ulm first edition in folio of the main surgical treatiese by the German physician Johannes Scultetus (or Schultes, 1595–1645). Scultetus was town physician in Ulm. Many of the surgical instruments shown on the instructive plates were invented by Scultetus himself and allowed preciser methods of surgical procedures. – Cf.
