Collected 201 „Jewish letters“ by the French philosopher Jean-Baptiste de Boyer (1703–1771), first published in the Hague between 1735 and 1737. De Boyer d’Argens was born in Aix-en-Provence. From 1741 to 1768 he was living at the court of Frederick II in Berlin, where he was director of the section of history and philology of the Prussian Academy of Sciences. – Vol. I with chipped upper spine end.
