First edition. Epochal art periodical, published by the progressive artist’s association „Abstraction Création“, which was founded in February 1931 in Paris. Arp, Gleizes, Hélion, Herbin, Kupka, Tutundjian, Valmier, and Vantogerloo were members of the board of directors of the magazine, in which the most important avantgarde artists of the period like e.g. Josef Albers, Jean Arp, Willy Baumeister, Max Bill, Constantin Brancusi, Alexander Calder, Robert and Sonia Delaunay, Lucio Fontana, Wassily Kandinsky, Laszlo Moholy-Nagy, Piet Mondrian, Kurt Schwitters, Sophie Taeuber-Arp, Theo van Doesburg, Friedrich Vordemberge-Gildewart, and many more are assembled. A complete reprint of the periodical was published in 1973. – Some browning to wrappers. Issues I to IV with small private collection label on page 1. Spines slightly rubbed, spine of vol.
