First enlarged edition, published together with the separate suite of the illustrations by Martin Disteli (1802–1844). This suite, Disteli’s first publication, at once founded his wide renown as the most talented Swiss illustrator and cartoonist in the 19th century. Disteli’s satirical cartoons are congenial to the fables of his friend A. E.
