Authoritative Venice edition of the eight book of Politics by the Greek philosopher Aristotle (384–322 B.C.) with the comments by the Italian Renaissance Raffaele Maffei da Volterra (1451–1522). The translation is the one by Leonardo Bruni (Aretino, 1369–1444). – Title leaf with old owner’s inscription, paper restoring to lower portion of leaf. Leaf K4 bound before leaf K3. Second edition in folio of the Du Val edition of Aristotle’s works, parallelely printed in Greek and Latin. The first edition curated by the French physician and philosopher Guillaume Du Val (1572–1646) was published in 1619 in four quarto volumes.
