One of 10 copies on vellum with roman numbers before 100 copies on papier Maillol. The present copy is no. V, signed by the artist and with his ms. note „[Exemplaire no.V] comprenant un frontispice unique – toutes les planches hors texte sont des gouaches de ma main“. The ordinary copies contain only 22 illustrations. Typography by Philippe Gonin. The French artist and illustrator Jean Berque (1896–1954) was a pupil of Vallotton, and the Nabis.
