The manipulated photographs show historic buildings and monuments in Milan. No. 9 of 30 numbered copies of the de luxe edition on Grand Velin Blanc, containing 5 plates, these repeated in a second suite. The present copy unsigned. From the collection of Marie-Louise and Samuel Robert Rosenthal with their joint bookplate on inner front board. The Rosenthals were major benefactors of cultural institutions in Chicago. The total limited edition was 530, the ordinary edition of 500 having only two plates. – Outer hinges cracking in parts.
