Edition originale of the 29 poems by André Frénaud (1907–1991). One of 65 numbered copies on Mitsumi Japan paper of a total limited edition of 90, signed in the colophon by the author and the illustrator. Hand-set in Caslon corps 28. Frénaud was on friendly terms with Paul Eluard, Joan Miró, Antoni Tapiès, Eduardo Chillida and others. In 1985, Frénaud published his collection of essays “Ubac et les fondements de son art”. Raoul Ubac (1910–1985) was part of the Paris Surrealist movement in the 1930 and moved later to more abstract forms of art. In 1959, he took part at the Documenta II in Kassel.
