Die analogen Fotografien Groeblis wurden als Phototypien auf Büttenpapier von BFK Rives gedruckt, dieses sehr aufwändige Verfahren erlaubt die stufenlose Wiedergabe von hellsten Grautönen bis zu tiefstem Schwarz. Der Druck wurde von Maeght in Paris ausgeführt und der hohe Aufwand erlaubt nur kleine Auflagen. Groeblis „Meisterwerke der Fotografie“ (René Schlachter) werden durch literarische Texte von Gabrielle Alioth, Hansjörg Schertenleib und Sabine Reber ergänzt. Die Fotografien zeichnen ein atmosphärisches und kontrastreiches Bild Irlands, der Künstler nähert sich nicht dokumentarisch, sondern lyrisch der Landschaft und der Architektur an. – Ohne den Schuber. Luxurious album with 50 coloured phototypes on the Japanese culture and way of life by Kazumasa Ogawa (1869–1929), most important photographer of the Meji period. In 1889, he founded the first collotype studion in Japan. The photographs show persons in traditional costumes as well as street scenes, a stage play and a wrestling scene. The photographs on plates 10 and 14 are identical. Each photograph is accompanied by a detailed caption. – Boards with some dustsoiling and spots.
